Our mobile shear blades and stationary shear blades combine proprietary alloys with temperature controlled heat treatment to provide maximum reliability and performance through enhanced edge wear resistance.

Premium grade material blades available upon request. UltraEdge is comprised of a higher nickel content than our standard blades, and holds a longer edge on mild steel applications. This blade also performs well in harder applications like cable, rebar, and stainless. Please inquire with your sales representative – Subject to availability.
The UltraEdge premium blade series is made from Detroit Edge Tool’s specialized high-alloy material with a 4% Nickel content.

Alligator & Custom Shears
Seemingly obsolete, with a cast iron body and driven by belt & flywheel, the alligator shear has found a permanent place in the scrap recycling industry and they are still widely used today. The newer hydraulic models will carry on the legacy, and nobody knows more about these small but mighty shears than the experts at Detroit Edge.
